Web Design & SEO for Millville Businesses
259 residents in 2000, 1,825 in 2020, median age 64. Beebe opened a freestanding emergency department here in May 2020, and Millville by the Sea is still building toward 3,000 homes.
A retirement town in the middle of a build-out
Millville multiplied by seven between 2000 and 2020 — 259 residents, then 544, then 1,825 — and the people arriving are older than almost anywhere else in the state. The median age is 64, and 46.4 percent of residents have passed 65. The town sits about a mile inland along Route 26, the road carrying traffic from US 113 down to the ocean, with Route 17 branching southwest just outside the limits.
New rooftops plus older buyers sets the terms for anyone marketing here. These customers did not grow up on this road, so they have no cousin in the trades to phone; they look things up, they read, and they ask a neighbor who also arrived three years ago. Ranking well and reading clearly is what earns the first call from people with no other way to choose.
Healthcare, groceries and greenfield
For a place with no permitted industrial facilities whatsoever, Millville carries unusual weight. Beebe Healthcare's South Coastal campus put a 23-exam-room emergency department and a cancer center on Roxana Road in May 2020 — the only freestanding ER between Lewes and Millsboro. Millville Town Center, three miles west of the shoreline, holds a Giant grocery and a Petco alongside banks, a mattress retailer and several restaurants. People drive here rather than through here.
The construction side is nowhere near finished. Millville by the Sea covers 700 acres with more than 3,000 residential units planned, and in November 2025 the town approved another 139 homes on 24.5 acres off Route 17 — 73 single-family, 34 duplexes and 32 townhomes, with work expected to begin in spring 2026. A 94.5-acre annexation near Burton Farm Road is under discussion. Trades that want that work should be findable before the framing starts.

What Millville businesses usually ask us
Beebe lists its South Coastal campus with a Millville address, but older releases say Frankford. Which is right?
Both, in a way. The campus sits on Roxana Road right on the Millville-Frankford line: Beebe's own page now gives it a Millville 19967 address, while the May 2020 opening announcement used Frankford 19945 for the same street. If your business references the campus, pick one form and use it everywhere, because inconsistent addresses are precisely what muddles local search.
Most of our customers are retirees. Should the site be built differently?
Yes, though mostly in the plumbing rather than the styling. Bigger type, real contrast, phone numbers that are easy to tap, short forms, and no clever navigation that hides where things live. Close to half the town is over 65, and a page that fights the reader loses the job to one that does not.
We work mainly in the new communities. How do we reach buyers before they move in?
Purchasers begin looking months ahead of settlement, often from another state entirely. Pages written around the specific community names being typed into the search bar, backed by reviews that mention those same neighborhoods, put you in front of them while they are still planning.
Route 26 was rebuilt through town. Does roadside visibility still count?
Less than owners tend to assume. DelDOT's SR 26 mainline work reshaped how the corridor moves, and a driver at forty miles an hour is not reading your sign in any case. Turning up for somebody sitting at a kitchen table is the more dependable version of that exposure.

We also work with businesses in Ocean View, Bethany Beach, Dagsboro, Millsboro and across Sussex County and the Route 26 corridor. Not in the neighborhood? We build and support websites for clients all over the country — the process works just as well over a phone call.
